Dear Mr. President,
The word of the day is hypocrisy. It's the practice of claiming to have
"moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not
conform." (thanks Merriam-Webster)
Remember during the election when some aids to Hilary
Clinton who were involved in the email scandal were given immunity and Michael
Flynn said, "When you are given immunity, that means that you've probably
committed a crime." Fast forward to
this week and we have Michael Flynn asking for immunity in exchange for talking
about your Russian-ties. This is the guy
who was fired only 3 weeks into being NSA chief for lying about his
communications with Russian officials.
This is the guy who is now registered as an agent of Turkey. Boy can you pick 'em! I can't wait to hear what this guy has to
say.
Sincerely,
Amy Beaton
"I hear a lot of people comparing this to Watergate," said Congressman Eric Swalwell, a Democrat who sits on the House Intelligence Committee. "Let me just tell you, the complexity of this case is unlike anything we've ever seen. Watergate doesn't even come close. That was a burglary in the Metro section of the Washington Post. It doesn't have the international waypoints [of this]. Russia's M.O. is to avoid attribution. This investigation is going to take time"... with each new drip of information, option three - the chance that this is all a giant mistake, an improbable series of coincidences - seems further out of reach. -- Paul Wood, BBC
