Dear Mr. President,
So here's an interesting news item that kind of slipped
under the radar – George W. Bush gave a TV interview (very rare) and said that a free press was, "indispensible to
democracy." Huh, go figure. He also said, "Power can be very
addictive and it can be corrosive and it's important for the media to call to
account people who abuse their power."
Whoever could he be talking about I wonder (hint, hint).
You know, as President of the United States you are a member
of a very elite club. When your fellow
club members offer you insight and feedback, especially when they're from your
own political party, you really should listen to them. Very few people have stood where you stand
now, and President Bush certainly faced his share of criticism, so I think he knows of what he speaks. I would listen very closely to what he has to
say.
Sincerely,
Amy Beaton
